Not only should a saddle be practical, strong and well-built from the finest of materials it should also be finished to perfection.
The tooling should be crisp aesthetically pleasing, edges should be smooth and polished, the stitching small and neat and the saddle should be pleasing to the eye. Everything should be in balance and the lines of the saddle including the ground seat should naturally flow.
After our saddles are finished they are completely oiled before assembly – most times the saddle is given two coats of pure neatsfoot oil.
The final finish on our saddle is either Tan-Kote or it is given a coat of a quality leather dressing. This finish not only offers protection of the saddle but it also gives the saddle a neat and attractive finish.
